The final match sees IBM A lose their first League match for 2 seasons!
IBM B have always felt they could run IBM A close, and this time they pulled off a win. No effect on final League positions,
but the psychological impact could be massive!
Although no-one won 3 it was arguably Nick Webb 's night, as he
kicked the evening off with an unlikely win over Julian Walton , and concluded it with another win that sealed victory in the match.
Paul May might have clinched the match a little earlier as he had Julian in a stranglehold at 10-6 in the 5th, but Julian
squeezed out of that one to win 11-13. That left Nick needing to beat Matt Byers .
A memorable finish to the match and to the season!
All of these players will be performing at Finals Night on Saturday.

National Junior League (Hampshire area): report from David Binns (thanks!)
"After four hard fought Saturdays the Winchester team of Morgan Smith ,
Adam Lee , Ben Payne ,
Tom Aldous and Isaac Tallack finished runners up in the Second Division.
All the Juniors helped in picking us a silver medal after a strong finish, beating strong teams from Fareham and Bournemouth.
The regular pair of Morgan Smith and Adam Lee have been the catalyst to the success with several key
performances on each of the four days and with the perfect support from Tom, Ben and
Isaac the future is looking very bright from Winchester Table Tennis.

3 former Winchester League players feature strongly in ETTA English National Championships!
David McBeath beat Garth Kinlocke in the Semis of the Under 21 Men's Singles, while Hannah Hicks won the Final of the Under 21 Women's Singles!
Last time we saw them in our League (2007), they were in the winning Division 1 team for Winnall.
You can watch live streaming from the event via the ETTA web pages. As I write, Hannah, and Tressa Armitage (formerly of the South Wonston club),
are making good progress in the Women's Doubles!
Time to give up? Not if you're only 88. See Les D'Arcy here .
